Cast: 2 females, one male (20s-40s).

Setting: Unit set.

Running time: 90 minutes.

Synopsis: A mother’s passing brings an estranged sibling home to the Florida Panhandle. Upon return, she confronts matters of love, faith and reconnecting with the brother and sister whom she left behind. A poetically realistic drama about coming through grief, the lies we tell each other in the name of family and religion, and how we can all begin again.

Script History: The play is the fourth play in Svich’s “American Quartet,” which is comprised of Guapa, The Way of Water and Spark. Hide Sky received reading at the Lark Play Development Center in New York City under Mia Rovegno’s direction. It received world premiere with Bas Bleu Theatre Company in Fort Collins, Colorado from January 30-February 28, 2016 under Sarah Zwick-Tapley’s direction. The cast was as follows: Corinne Wieben (as Shawn), Kiernan Angley (as Ray), and Kryssi Jeux Miller (as Mo).
