On RED BIKE from the playwright:
A colleague asked me why did I want to write RED BIKE? My response was this: “I wanted to place an eleven year old character living in rural America as the agent of the narrative; I wanted that voice to articulate part of the core class struggle we are in, in these divided States, and also to ask this 11 year old to share their dream of a better future.”
